My neighbor: I forget or never knew her name because except for the surface-level conversations about our dogs a few times over the past 10 years when we both happened to be walking up to Mulholland, I don’t believe we got to a point of exchanging names. Also, white ladies of a certain generation have a particularly hard time remembering my name anyway, so I don’t try particularly hard remembering theirs. Is that bad?
